New line of Samsung DIY video security and surveillance systems

Samsung announced a new line of security products for home and SMB use. Available in 4-, 8-, or 16-Channels, the systems include a DVR with storage capacities ranging from 500 GB to 1 TB.

The new Samsung DIY Security Systems feature:

OmniView Technology: Samsung’s proprietary software enabling small and medium business owners to manage an infinite number of systems at multiple geographic locations simultaneously from a single user interface.

QuickConnect: Automatically configures the system with a wireless network to enable remote viewing via PC or Smartphone from anywhere in the world. QuickConnect virtually eliminates the problems consumers traditionally experience connecting products to their network thereby greatly reducing the number of end-user returns.

Mobile and TV Apps: Allows users to watch video from their security systems on the go via their mobile phone or from home on the TV.

The Samsung DIY Security Systems boast powerful functionality yet they’re easy to use and simple to navigate. The line includes both box and dome hi-res cameras with night vision capability up to 40 feet, an IP66 weatherproof design and options for wireless or audio capabilities.

Products will be available in March 2011 at a starting price of $499.
