Intigua: Automate the provisioning of management technologies
CIOs today are asking their IT teams to build private clouds that reflect the on-demand simplicity and agility that Amazon Web Services delivers in its public cloud.
Unlike with public clouds, however, production servers in private clouds must adhere to strict corporate policies for uptime, performance, security and compliance. This requires new servers to be rapidly configured with their entire management stack, including critical technologies such as server monitoring, configuration and compliance management, security logging and data backup. Currently, adding these technologies is accomplished via manual, non-standardized processes that add days or weeks before new servers are ready for production use.
The Intigua 2.0 automation platform provides centralized, policy-based provisioning, configuration and ongoing management of the entire management stack. By replacing manual processes with centralized automation,
it enables enterprises to deliver production-ready VMs — configured with all management technologies essential for SLAs, security and compliance — in minutes, versus days or weeks, for the first time.
Intigua 2.0 provides a new API-driven abstraction layer that allows it to be driven by standard cloud management platforms such as VMware vCAC, OpenStack and ServiceMesh, enabling enterprises to dynamically orchestrate their management stacks — just like servers, storage and networks — for the Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC).
Also new in 2.0 is automated control and visibility for the entire management stack, including configuring settings on both server end-points (such as communication settings) and back-end management servers (such as daily backup schedules). Intigua works with all existing management technologies – both agent-based and agentless – such as Splunk, Hyperic, Nagios, Puppet, IBM Tivoli, HP, BMC, CA, Microsoft, VMware, Symantec and EMC.
