Barracuda expands on Windows Azure
Barracuda Networks has expanded the number of its products available on the Windows Azure cloud platform.
“The Barracuda Web Application Firewall, Barracuda NG Firewall and Barracuda Load Balancer ADC products are designed to help organizations securely deploy hybrid cloud environments,” said Stephen Pao, GM Security, Barracuda. “This expanded offering provides advanced application delivery and extends remote network access to augment the security offerings available on the Windows Azure cloud platform.”
“Microsoft views security as a top priority, and Windows Azure customers benefit from this core focus in our datacenters and our cloud offerings,” said Bob Kelly, corporate vice president, Business Development, Microsoft. “We are excited that Barracuda is expanding its security offerings that run on Windows Azure to help provide additional security for our joint customers’ applications and data.”
Barracuda Web Application Firewall, one of the first web application firewalls and application delivery platforms available on Windows Azure, has gained market traction in securing applications hosted in Windows Azure.
New cloud editions of the Barracuda Web Application Firewall, Barracuda NG Firewall and Barracuda Load Balancer ADC enable customers to expand their offerings to embrace cloud deployments. Enterprise customers looking to migrate to the cloud or to deploy a hybrid cloud infrastructure could benefit from application security and remote access to Windows Azure.
