Kathy Willard joins McAfee’s Board of Directors

McAfee, the device-to-cloud cybersecurity company, announced that Kathy Willard, CFO of Live Nation Entertainment, has joined its Board of Directors. Willard brings extensive experience managing the finances for the world’s largest live entertainment and ticketing company and is expected to lend her expertise to McAfee’s Audit Committee.

“Kathy’s knowledge, skillset and proven success in the industry will be instrumental in driving McAfee’s future growth,” said Chris Young, CEO of McAfee. “With Kathy’s financial expertise, she will help provide oversight of McAfee’s financial reporting, internal control, internal audit, and compliance policies and functions.”

A long-time leader at Live Nation Entertainment, Willard was appointed CFO in September 2007 after nine years with the company across roles that included executive vice president and chief accounting officer. Willard began her career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen in 1988 and is a certified public accountant.

“I look forward to joining McAfee at a time when there is more scrutiny than ever on cybersecurity,” said Willard. “With cybercrime showing no signs of slowdown, McAfee is leading the way to develop solutions that address this greatest challenge of the digital age and make the connected world more secure for everyone.”

Willard also is a member of the board of directors for the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation, which partners with local communities to inspire and educate youth about the role of music and culture in society.

Often recognized for her contributions in the entertainment and e-commerce industries, Willard was previously named one of the Top 50 Women in Entertainment by the National Diversity Council in 2016, which acknowledges women who are effective drivers of change within their organization.

As the third independent Board member appointed, Willard joins fellow independent McAfee Board members Sohaib Abbasi, former chairman and CEO of Informatica Corporation, and Mary Cranston, retired senior partner of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP and board member of Visa Inc.

Chris Young and representatives of McAfee owners TPG and Intel also currently serve on the McAfee Board.
