As requirements and challenges for compliance and security become more complex across industries including financial services, government, technology, and healthcare, this makes it easier for Zoom customers to adopt and experience the benefits of Theta Lake’s archive.

Theta Lake has delivered complementary security and compliance innovations with, and for Zoom at an unmatched pace in 2021. This includes coverage across Zoom Meetings, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Chat with practical archiving capabilities that allow regulated organizations to enable more Zoom functionality by selectively archiving any component of content such as in-meeting chat, Q&A, and/or polling for compliance purposes without having to capture the video or audio recording of a meeting.

Beyond low disruption features like selective archiving, Theta Lake has delivered patented technology to detect and review risks in visual content; detect and remediate risks in user configurations of Zoom; detect information barrier and ethical wall violations, provide a timeline investigation view across chat and documents shared within chat; flagging risky participants across all Zoom communication types; and more.

This latest offering with Zoom provides Zoom customers a truly free version of Theta Lake’s archive purpose built for seamlessly enhancing compliance coverage for modern collaboration.

“Zoom has been dedicated in delivering security and enabling compliance for customers, and part of that is delivering market leading API and integration capabilities for best-in-class tools like Theta Lake,” said Adi Regev, Group Product Manager, Enterprise, and FinServ at Zoom. “In addition to our native Zoom capabilities we are happy to see the consistent innovation Theta Lake delivers as a complement. The free archive makes it even easier for Zoom customers to get even more out of the Zoom platform with value and added peace of mind from dedicated compliance and security vendors like Theta Lake.”

Based on the growing need for compliance and security solutions and the continued success of the partnership, Theta Lake has partnered with Zoom to offer Zoom customers free access to even more advanced and efficient data retention, search, and content review capabilities for compliance, legal, and risk teams. Zoom customers can selectively archive meetings, voice, chat, in-meeting chat, polling, Q&A communications for up to 30 days at no cost and have access to robust eDiscovery and review capabilities.

Since announcing the eComms Archive module earlier this year, Theta Lake has the most compliance and security approved apps in the Zoom Marketplace, demonstrating the robustness of the security and compliance suite. The native integrations with Zoom expand across five modules globally to include:

  • Zoom meetings archiving and supervision – providing archiving and the industry’s only full analysis and supervision for all video, voice, and chat meeting content including screen shares, shown on camera, white boards, voice coverage, transcript coverage, meeting chat, polling, and Q&A coverage
  • Zoom eComms archive – providing selective archiving of just the chat, polling, or Q&A in a meeting for compliance purposes
  • Realtime compliance advisor for Zoom meetings – providing real-time compliance coaching and resources for employees in live meetings
  • Zoom chat supervision and archiving – providing supervision, archiving, and third-party archive integration for chat as well as advanced timeline search across chat conversations and document sharing across chats
  • Zoom Phone supervision and archiving – providing archiving, AI-assisted supervision, and third-party archive integration for Zoom Phone

In light of the recent surge in video and chat usage by organizations, features that enable compliance in collaboration platforms are more important than ever. Theta Lake’s native integration with Zoom is helping organizations, especially those in financial services such as Advisor Group, address nuanced compliance requirements while getting the most out of their Zoom usage.

“Theta Lake flat-out saved us time and money while improving our compliance coverage,” said Todd Logan, Vice President of Workplace Technology, Advisor Group. “We have rapidly scaled up our use of Zoom for meetings as well as recorded presentation and training content. This new selective electronic communications archiving allows us to expand usage of Zoom with compliance coverage for additional users that we don’t need to fully record. In addition to the criticality of compliant archiving, we really save hundreds and hundreds of person hours using the review system and workspace itself. We’re communicating and creating more and more content via Zoom and Theta Lake has enabled us to scale our compliance and supervision for Zoom without increasing headcount.”

“By continuing to provide seamless integration with Zoom’s platforms for AI-based compliance and archiving, we’re helping to make secure and compliant communications accessible to a multitude of industries globally, which has resulted in an influx of customer adoption,” said Anthony Cresci, SVP at Theta Lake. “Zoom has become integral to workplaces as they find new ways to connect and collaborate safely and effectively. We’re thrilled to take our partnership to the next level, expanding our reach beyond the FinServ industry and validation as a key natively integrated partner.
