Australia holds the distinction of being ranked as the world’s fifth most powerful cybernation, boasting a cybersecurity market valued at $7.09 billion in 2024, with projections to soar to $16.52 billion by 2029. However, this prominence comes with its challenges, as cybercrime rates continue to rise steadily, with an incident reported every 7 minutes.
In response to these threats, the Australian government unveiled the ambitious 2023-2030 Australian Cybersecurity Strategy, aimed at fortifying the nation’s cyber defences and positioning it as a global leader in cybersecurity by 2030. Aligned with this national initiative, the Summit returns to Australia with the theme “From Vision to Strategy: Australia’s Cybersecurity Blueprint.
