The password is dead: Next generation access management strategies

If you follow the news, it’s hard to miss all the breaches and stolen passwords offered for sale. The reality is that the method of processing passwords hasn’t changed in the past 40 years, while attackers have become much more efficient.

Most users continue to pick weak passwords, while those that are a bit more security-aware use password managers. These are still not a solution to the problem since they essentially guard all your passwords with another password.

In this podcast recorded at RSA Conference 2014, Eugene Shablygin, CEO and founder of WWPass Corporation, discusses the death of the password and talks about alternative access management strategies that offer greater security.

WWPass eliminates the need for antiquated username and password pairs. The WWPass Security Pack is a bundled solution available to all PassKey users – available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Security Pack delivers a variety of features that will allow you to securely:

  • Logon to web portals
  • Connect to applications
  • Digitally sign and encrypt email
