NS1’s software-defined DDI solution now available on Cisco GPL

NS1 announced that the company has joined the Cisco DevNet SolutionsPlus program, making its enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (DDI) solution the first and only software-defined DDI solution available on Cisco’s Global Price List.

Inclusion in Cisco’s DevNet SolutionsPlus program enables Cisco field teams and channel partners to incorporate NS1’s DDI and external DNS solutions into their portfolio while providing customers with enhanced network visibility and control.

As enterprise architectures evolve to support modern and distributed businesses, infrastructures become more complex and reveal areas of increased risk and vulnerability.

NS1’s integration with Cisco Umbrella solves these challenges by providing enhanced network visibility and control, comprehensive traffic management capabilities, and instant threat remediation across DNS networks.

Unlike traditional DDI products, which are encumbered by complex UI and workflows, expensive hardware, and poorly performing APIs, NS1 solutions are cloud-native and purpose-built on API-first architecture.

NS1 + Cisco empowers NetOps, DevOps, and SecOps teams to more efficiently, securely, and reliably deliver and scale application and network services that enable business.

NS1’s comprehensive traffic management solutions can also be deployed with Cisco AnyConnect to provide vast improvements in reliability and performance for virtual private networks (VPN).

With NS1’s Filter Chain, network teams can shape VPN traffic based on a variety of factors, such as location, resource availability, number of existing sessions, and a dozen other variables. This ensures remote workers can reliably and securely connect and stay connected.

Inclusion in Cisco’s DevNet SolutionsPlus program comes just seven months after Cisco Investment’s participation in NS1’s $33 million Series C funding round and less than a year after NS1 joined the Cisco Security Technology Alliance (CSTA), Cisco’s security development, integration, and certification framework.

“NS1’s acceptance into Cisco’s DevNet SolutionsPlus program further validates the value our superior network automation and traffic steering capabilities provide to joint customers,” said Warren Mead, vice president of Business Development and Channels, NS1.

“As we become more tightly integrated within the Cisco ecosystem, we expand opportunities for organizations to leverage our unified solutions to make their entire application stacks smarter, more secure, and more efficient to manage.”

To be eligible for Cisco’s DevNet SolutionsPlus program, companies must offer solutions that are compatible with and complementary to Cisco products and applications, provide exemplary customer references, deliver proven 24×7 global service and support, and meet other business health and partner requirements.

“As the demand for reliable networking and remote access solutions continues to surge, our customers find exceptional value in the enhanced performance and control that NS1’s software-defined solutions bring to Cisco’s offerings,” said Ian McGowan, managing director of Barrier Networks.

“NS1’s addition to Cisco’s GPL will enable our team to more quickly and easily source these integrated solutions and market-leading capabilities to customers.”

“ConvergeOne’s base of 14,000+ customers will directly benefit from NS1’s innovative, software-defined approach to DDI, which provides enhanced network control and automation,” said Tim Femister, vice president of Digital Infrastructure at ConvergeOne.

“We look forward to leveraging this new, streamlined path to procurement in order to bring new capabilities to our customers much faster.”
