Quickly identify and act on endpoint security issues

Promisec announced plans for Promisec Integrity, a series of cloud-based offerings to help small-to-medium enterprise organizations with endpoint security and remediation.

The full-suite of offerings enables IT organizations to ensure compliance, defend against the rising number of cyber threats impacting business today and validate endpoint integrity across all deployed security and IT endpoint technologies.

According to Gartner’s recent report, “Malware is Already Inside Your Organization; Deal with It,” published February 12, 2014, “security organizations must assume they are compromised, and, therefore, invest in detective capabilities that provide continuous monitoring for patterns and behaviors indicative of malicious intent.” To that end, the report says, “a new class of endpoint detection and response (ETDR) vendors is starting to fill the gaps left by traditional endpoint protection platform (EPP) suites. [They] provide “indicators of compromise’ (IOCs) to lead detection efforts and real-time investigation tools that allow for rapid interrogation of endpoints and endpoint history.”

Promisec Integrity provides continuous monitoring for advanced threat detection by capitalizing on the collective intelligence from existing security and management tools to deliver certainty that all tools and processes are operational, agents are up to date, and software is patched. This provides IT organizations with the ability to improve their incident response time, and thus limit business impact.

Other planned additions to Promisec Integrity include:

  • Endpoint inspection – a continuous monitoring service that will scan and report on the entire endpoint environment to reveal its security state, including uncovering unauthorized applications, validating antivirus and SCCM/patch management solutions are functioning properly, and ensuring compliance with corporate IT policies
  • Tamper detection – a file validation service that will confirm if files have been tampered with or corrupted by attack, either as it is happening or after an attack
  • Crisis resolution – an incident response service that will sweep customer endpoints for specific issues—such as a specific malware attack or older version of a software that is prone to a hack—and offer on the spot remediation and reporting on the current status of those endpoint environments.

“Promisec Integrity is like a “don’t panic’ button that can quickly provide peace of mind—and a course of action—for small-to-medium enterprises that must get ahead of the latest threats before they negatively impact corporate IP, operational efficiency and, ultimately, brand trust and profitability,” said Dan Ross, CEO, Promisec.

The company will be unveiling specific solutions available for Promisec Integrity through the end of 2014, beginning with a cyber detection capability in the coming weeks.
