Internet Security Expert Featured As Part of TechMecca Educational Program
ARLINGTON, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–July 24, 2001– Internationally-renowned technologist and author Bruce Schneier will provide an eye-opening presentation on Internet security issues as part of an all-star lineup of speakers featured at the first annual TechMecca financial services technology conference.
The event, which is expected to draw bank, credit union and savings and loan executives from across the country, will be held Nov. 28-30, 2001 in Arlington, Texas.
Schneier will give his perspectives on “Network Security in the 21st Century,” during the opening day of the conference, Wednesday, November 28. His address will focus on risks associated with the interconnectivity of the Internet and what solutions are not working. He will also introduce the concept of evolving a thought process that goes beyond “threat avoidance” to “risk management.”

The cryptographic expert has addressed security issues for Microsoft, the National Security Agency and Citibank, just to name a few.
