SC Magazine Gives CyberwallPLUS Host Intrusion Prevention Glowing Review

WALTHAM, Mass., May 31, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) –(From Comtex Testing)

“… perhaps CyberwallPLUS is the king of firewalls. ”

Network-1 Security Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSSI), a technology leader in active intrusion prevention solutions for e-Business networks, announced today that CyberwallPLUS 6.1, its host intrusion prevention product for Windows NT/2000 servers, was featured in glowing terms in SC Magazine’s June issue which was devoted to Internet security solutions. The product review mentions the entire Network-1 intrusion prevention product line, calling its overall security coverage “regal.” However, the article focuses primarily on the company’s host intrusion prevention products, CyberwallPLUS-SV (server) and -WS (workstation). These security software products install directly on Windows NT/98/2000 servers and workstations to provide robust access control with integrated stateful packet inspection and intrusion detection.

The review states, “…perhaps CyberwallPLUS is the king of firewalls.” The review’s “verdict” states, “CyberwallPLUS-WS comes with CyberwallPLUS-Central, which centrally monitors all remote firewalls via encrypted and authenticated network connections. Remote access and management can be securely run from Windows NT/98/2000 clients.” For the pro and con observations it asserts, “For: Includes pre-configured security templates, enabling network administrators with little or no security experience to set up CyberwallPLUS quickly and easily.” The single word of “None” was listed against the products.

“We are always excited when reviewers share our enthusiasm for CyberwallPLUS host intrusion prevention solutions,” said Avi Fogel, president and CEO of Network-1. “These solutions enable customers to place security exactly where it is most needed — on their valuable network resources.”
