Information security expert and industry veteran Michael Sutton joins SPI Dynamics
S.P.I. Dynamics, the expert in Web application security, today announced the addition of Michael Sutton, information security industry veteran, to the company as Security Evangelist. As a noted industry expert on IT security threats and growing trends, Mr. Sutton brings 10 years of expertise to the company’s roster of Web security specialists and will work closely with SPI Dynamics’ renowned Web application security research and development team, SPI Labs, to further industry understanding of Web application security issues and their impact on enterprise organizations.
Mr. Sutton is a frequent speaker at major information security conferences and events, has authored various white papers on Web security, and is regularly quoted as an expert resource in the media on various information security topics. As Security Evangelist for SPI Dynamics, Mr. Sutton will be responsible for informing and educating Web security professionals, developers and quality assurance professionals on the importance of integrating Web application security best practices. In
addition, Mr. Sutton will work closely with the SPI Labs team to identify, research and present emerging issues in Web application security.
Mr. Sutton holds several information security designations including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He is also a member of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). In addition, he holds a Master of Science in Information Systems Technology degree from George Washington University, a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and is a Chartered Accountant. Additionally, he serves as a Sergeant with the Fairfax Volunteer Fire Department.
