GateKeeper appliance receives EAL2 Common Criteria Certification
Xceedium announced that its flagship GateKeeper appliance was awarded Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 2 (EAL2) certification for meeting strict government IT security requirements as outlined by the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP). The appliance, which is currently being tested for Evaluation Assurance Level 3 certification, has been deployed by the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Air Force, and other risk-averse organizations requiring the highest levels of protection in the central management of highly sensitive IT environments distributed around the globe.
“As more public, financial and Fortune 1000 organizations pursue the cost savings benefits of business models such as outsourcing, offshoring, contractors and vendors with engineers who use powerful tools to do their jobs, it is imperative that they deploy an IT operations management solution that can deliver more efficiency and also rein in and control these ‘untrusted’ entrants,” said Xceedium President/CEO Cheryl Traverse. “NIAP’s certification of GateKeeper demonstrates that our appliance is a government- class solution that can be deployed with the utmost confidence by any global organization looking to overcome the costs and complexities of remote IT management and remote application development.”
