National Security Council senior director to keynote RSA 2009

RSA Conference announced that Melissa Hathaway, Acting Senior Director for Cyberspace for the National Security Council (NSC) and Homeland Security Council (HSC), will deliver a keynote address at RSA Conference 2009.

Hathaway’s presentation will take place at 2 p.m. PT on Wednesday, April 22 and will provide details about the Obama administration’s currently ongoing 60-day comprehensive assessment of U.S. cyberspace policies and structures.

As Acting Senior Director for the NSC and HSC, Melissa Hathaway is leading a 60-day interagency review of the cybersecurity plans, programs and activities underway throughout the federal government. That review, scheduled to be completed this month, will develop a strategic framework to ensure that federal government cybersecurity initiatives are appropriately integrated, resourced and coordinated with Congress and the private sector.
