NASA Deploys SecureLogix TeleWall Telecommunications Firewall

SAN ANTONIO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Aug. 29, 2001–SecureLogix(R) Corporation, a leader in secure network convergence, announces the purchase of their award-winning TeleWall(R) Telecom Firewall by NASA Ames Research Center.

The vulnerability that unauthorized modems introduce into data networks is widely recognized. The TeleWall Telecom Firewall eliminates this threat and completes the security of the network perimeter.

The patented TeleWall Telecom Firewall provides the ability to block any and all unauthorized modem access and automatically enforces corporate authorized modem activity, with an easy-to-use rule-based security policy. The security policy can be configured to allow or deny access based on call type including fax, modem, voice, video and Secure Telephone Unit-Third Generation (STU-III) connections. The security policy is highly customizable and can also be modified to allow or terminate traffic based on source number, destination number, date/time and call direction (inbound or outbound).

“One telephone line, connected to a modem, can render a corporate network security policy useless. By selecting TeleWall Telecom Firewall as their preferred solution for voice network security, the Ames Research Center purchase shows the reliability and sophistication of our technology to secure mission-critical government networks,” said Lee Sutterfield, president of SecureLogix.

SecureLogix continues to build upon these successes and has established itself as a primary solutions provider of telecommunications security products in the federal and commercial sectors. “We are extremely pleased with the relationship we have with the Ames Research Center. These kinds of relationships are the foundation of our success in establishing our products as ‘best of breed’ in telecommunications security,” said Lisa Ahlers, senior account executive, Federal Solutions, SecureLogix Corporation.
