RSA Security Cancels RSA Conference Europe
RSA Security announced it is canceling RSA Conference Europe, the company’s second annual e-security conference and exposition in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region, scheduled for October 15-19 in Amsterdam. RSA Security will instead hold an online version of RSA Conference Europe commencing October 15, to address the critical e-security and privacy issues facing business, government and the public.
“In the wake of the events of September 11, we decided to host the RSA Conference Europe in an online format,” said Art Coviello, president and CEO at RSA Security. “I look forward to participating in this event and believe the attendees will find it an educational and thought-provoking experience.” “The RSA Conference is committed to fostering education and the exchange of information, ideas and know-how among organizations, researchers, policy makers, developers and solution providers,” said Mark Reeves, vice president, EMEA. “This online conference will serve as an effective vehicle to provide individuals and organisations with the latest information about e-security, whether it is learning about best-case practices from other companies, government policy, or new technologies and product solutions.”
RSA Conference Europe online will feature keynotes “live” via Webcasts scheduled during Central European Time (CET). The site will also feature conference tutorials about the basics of e-security as well as provide presentations from its nine class tracks. The most popular class tracks will have audio accompanying the presentations. A virtual trade show of all conference exhibitors will also be included.
