Top Scores for Kaspersky Anti-Virus Software

Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro 4.0 achieved the best results in testing conducted by the information portal ZDNet.

The test, organized by the French editorial team of the highly popular information portal ZDNet, pitted against one another the six most popular anti-virus programs for home users. Test results earned Kaspersky Anti-Virus 4.0 top honors, winning it the editor’s choice award as the most optimal solution for experienced users.

Today the amount of malicious programs is rapidly approaching 100,000, with the total number rising by several tens daily, thus making it impossible to use the Internet and email without the aid of anti-virus software. In order to determine the most reliable means of computer virus defense, the editors of ZDNet.fr conducted an independent test of the six most popular anti-virus products: McAfee VirusScan, Frisk Software F-Prot Antivirus, Symantec Norton Antivirus 2002/2002 Edition Professional, Trend-Micro PC-Cillin and Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro. ZDNet.fr opined that the new version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Pro, released in the first quarter of 2002, upholds the traditionally high quality of its previous versions. Personal Pro displayed excellent results in detecting both new and old viruses, and effectively combining its various component programs.

Based on the test results, the ZDNet.fr editors recommend Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro to users as “powerful and fast, ensuring the effective detection and cure of infected files; with the additional advantage of daily virus database updates.”
