By SafeGuard®Ã‚ PrivateDisk, Utimaco Safeware extends its product portfolio for the securing of data on PCs and notebooks by an additional effective security solution which is particularly simple to be operated. The program creates an electronic safe where any amount of files of sensitive and valuable content can be secured. A virtual disk which automatically encrypts all file contents as well as the additional information concerning author, size, file name etc. Only users who know the correct password or possess a valid certificate can access the content of the safe and can read the protected files.
SafeGuard®Ã‚ PrivateDisk combines the proven and flexible-in-use technology of the “virtual disk” with strong encryption and polished functions for the use in organizations.
As usual in normal everyday working life, the protected files can e.g. be secured and exchanged by several authorized users over files servers or per disk. They cannot only be stored securely on firmly installed PCs and notebooks, but on portable media as well.
