Taicom Chooses SSH Communications Security to Secure its VPN Router Series
HELSINKI, FINLAND; PALO ALTO, Calif. and TOKYO – May 20, 2003 – SSH Communications Security (HEX:SSH1V), a world-leading developer of Internet security solutions, today announced that Taicom Data Systems has selected the SSH QuickSec(TM) Toolkit for Access Networks and the SSH TLS (Transport Layer Security) Toolkit for use in the development of Taicom’s new TSG-214 VPN Router.
The SSH QuickSec for Access Networks and the SSH TLS Toolkit allows developers to integrate IPSec technologies for faster time-to-market and reduced development costs. The SSH TLS Toolkit also includes full PKI functionality, including the use of X.509 certificates for authentication, revocation status checking and certificate enrollment support. This functionality is crucial for ensuring that communication sent via the TSG-214 come from an authorized sender and not a malicious attacker trying to gain unauthorized access to the network.

The SSH TLS Toolkit’s flexible platform allows web based secure remote management capabilities.
