AEP Systems Releases Scalable, Highly Available SSL VPN Solution

Palo Alto, California – August 4, 2004 – AEP Systems, the high-speed security company, today releases AEP SureWare A-Gate AG-1200, a scalable, high availability Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) VPN bundled solution that includes one year of support and on-site installation and training. Priced at $25,000 for the SSL VPN package, users benefit from a feature rich remote access solution priced significantly below competitors’ products.

Today’s release includes a pair of A-Gates that can expand to a load-balanced pool of 16 appliances. SureWare A-Gate’s load balancing feature enables unprecedented scalability without the need for additional user or feature licenses.

“Scalability is crucial for growing businesses and departments. By adding more SureWare A-Gates to an existing system businesses can accommodate more remote users without having to pay for additional licensing fees,” said Paul Healy, AEP SureWare A-Gate Senior Product Manager. “A-Gate’s scalability allows a business to adopt an SSL VPN at an entry level cost, but doesn’t limit the number of users for a business operating at the enterprise level.”

With the assurance of high availability, built-in load balancing, failover and unlimited user licenses with no hidden feature license fees, SureWare A-Gate AG-1200 gives enterprises working in a global business environment reliable access to mission-critical applications 24 hours a day.
