Swedish Police Force Selects Utimaco Solutions for Mobile Security
London, 30 March 2005 – Following a review of its security defenses, the Swedish national police force’s administrative arm, the Rikspolisstyrelsen (RPS), has selected Utimaco’s SafeGuard Easy to protect the notebooks used by its mobile police teams and the computers fitted inside its police vehicles. More than 1,000 police computers, running Windows XP, will be installed with SafeGuard Easy protecting the data, by the hard disk’s completely transparent encryption, in the event of the device being misplaced or stolen.
