Crossbeam Systems’ 2005 Results Confirm Undisputed Leadership In High-End Unified Threat Management Market
Crossbeam Systems Inc., the leader in Unified Threat Management (UTM) for the world’s largest networks, today announced that its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2005 financial results confirm that the company has extended its lead as the world’s number one provider of high-end UTM products.
Crossbeam shipped 197 high-end UTM units in the fourth quarter of 2005, representing 91 percent growth over the same quarter of 2004. Crossbeam’s fiscal-year shipments also grew in excess of 90 percent year-over-year. Crossbeam uses the IDC definition of high-end UTM for these results: UTM products that cost at least $50,000 per unit.

In addition to the company’s success in the high-end UTM market, George said Crossbeam experienced significant growth across all of its product lines. Crossbeam’s 2005 total revenue grew 67 percent year-over-year, with 48 percent of the revenue coming from North America and 52 percent from international operations. The company also grew its customer base to more than 500 organisations during the year and increased its headcount by 60 percent.
