TopDog 802.11n among first selected for Wi-Fi protected setup testbed
Marvell announced that Marvell’s TopDog 802.11n access point solutions and 802.11a/b/g wireless USB client solutions have been selected as part of the Wi-Fi Alliance Wi-Fi Protected Setup testbed. Marvell silicon is among the first to be certified for the Wi-Fi Protected Setup, an optional certification program based on a standardized method for security setup in home Wi-FI networks.
Consumers regard security for home Wi-Fi networks as a top three essential element of home security with more than 40 percent of respondents feeling that a protected Wi-FI network is an important part of creating a safe home. By selecting products used in the Wi-Fi Protected Setup, consumers will benefit from ease of installation and activation of security features on wireless networks in the home.”
