RSA 2008: Lieberman Software joins RSA Secured Partner Program
Lieberman Software Corporation and RSA have achieved technical interoperability between RSA SecurID two-factor authentication and Lieberman Software’s Random Password Manager. With two-factor authentication technology enabled by RSA, only authorized personnel can access the current local passwords managed by this product.
Random Password Manager is a privileged identity management solution that changes, recovers, and manages firecall account passwords. It ensures that every system in the enterprise maintains unique administrator or root account credentials, preventing one decrypted local password from providing unauthorized peer-level access throughout the network.
This product continuously randomizes the local passwords on systems throughout the enterprise. The passwords are secured using AES-256 encryption in a SQL Server database, and can be recovered on demand by delegated users via a Win32 application and a web-based console.
Two-factor authentication helps prevent data from being accessed via key loggers, shoulder surfing, or social engineering. As a result of the RSA Secured certification, RSA SecurID technology helps to ensure that only staff with physical possession of an RSA SecurID hardware authenticator and properly provisioned credentials can access the passwords generated and stored by Lieberman Software products.
