Free SysInspector for free in-depth computer diagnostics

ESET released SysInspector, a free comprehensive utility that examines various operating system elements, including running processes, registry content, startup items and network connections to identify malware and other malicious content. With this software security personnel, network administrators, malware researchers and support engineers are able to quickly and effectively diagnose computer and network related problems caused by malware.

ESET SysInspector is powered by an advanced heuristics engine that enables proactive detection of malware not covered by even the most frequently updated signature-based products. As a result, SysInspector runs faster than competitive system diagnostic tools and detects more malware and other problems, even assigning a risk level to those problems.

“Competitive diagnostic tools include some of SysInspector’s functionality, but we believe that our solution provides the most comprehensive view of a system’s environment,” said Jakub Debski, lead developer, ESET. “SysInspector provides users with an unprecedented snapshot of what’s happening on their systems. To achieve this level of granularity, you would traditionally have to run a number of separate utilities.
