Cellcrypt announced that Cellcrypt Mobile is available now for BlackBerry smartphones.
Cellcrypt Mobile introduces end-to-end real-time encryption to prevent private conversations from being compromised, enabling individuals within corporations and governments to converse in a highly secure manner without the need for specialised equipment or the expense of new infrastructure.
Cellcrypt technology is currently undergoing certification to the FIPS 140-2 standard and operates on all major wireless networks including 2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE), 3G (HSPA, CDMA/EV-DO) and Wi-Fi networks.
It operates with an easy-to-use interface on commercially available BlackBerry smartphones and does not require specialized equipment.
The solution solves the significant technical challenge of delivering strong encryption across mobile networks whilst maintaining high performance phone call attributes: by using Encrypted Mobile Content Protocol (EMCP) on the data channel, and a secure central switch.
Cellcrypt uses standard encryption technologies including:
- RSA 2048 bit and AES 256 bit encryption
- DH and RSA algorithms for key exchange
- SHA512 and MD5 for hashing
- DSA and RSA to authenticate data
