GFI launches beta of WebMonitor 2009

A new standalone version of GFI WebMonitor 2009 has been launched in beta, without the need for ISA server dependancy. It offers web security features that allow you to control your employees’ Internet access by monitoring what files they’re downloading, to block file-types such as MP3s and to scan all files for viruses, spyware and malware using multiple anti-virus engines.

This Internet monitoring solution also lowers the risk of social engineering by blocking access to phishing websites through the use of an auto-updatable database of phishing URLs.

GFI WebMonitor 2009 is now available in standalone proxy format (currently in beta) or as a dedicated plug-in for Microsoft ISA Server. Therefore clients who used the previous ISA-server dependant version can continue using that version.
