Fake Microsoft Security Update e-mail
Francophones around the world should be careful not to fall for the claims of an e-mail that offers a link for the user to follow in order to receive a Microsoft Windows security update, but which actually redirects the user to a malicious .exe file.
According to Cisco, the email often contains the following text:
It usually also contains an attachment named Firefox.exe (size: 193,093 bytes, MD5 checksum: 0xECFBD8FBF3CF6757E8691028542E8684), which is also malicious.
