FireMon expands support for datacenter and hybrid cloud environments

FireMon released updates to the FireMon platform, helping customers to more effectively manage network security policy in existing data centers while enabling secure adoption of the cloud. In this new release, FireMon builds on its commitment to help customers automate cumbersome manual processes and eliminate misconfiguration errors that lead to unplanned downtime, compliance violations, or security exposure.

Key new features include:

  • New integrations: Provides new integrations and full support for VMware NSX-T virtualized network security platform for global hybrid storage environments and A10 Thunder and Lightning Application Delivery Controller (ADC).
  • Improved management station capabilities: A new foundation for policy changes has been created for management stations and the devices attached to them. It is now possible to continuously stage and validate policy changes for dependent (“child”) devices pre-deployment without running into cumbersome locks triggered by global policy changes.
  • Enhanced platform support: Extends support for Fortinet Hyperscale and FortiOS 6.2 and 6.4, verified support for Palo Alto’s PANOS 10.X, URL category normalization for Palo Alto, and Zscaler, along with over 25 additional enhancements.

“As rates of change and complexity increase, it’s more important than ever for our customers to manage policy centrally, across their entire heterogeneous network,” said Tim Woods, Vice President of Technology Alliances, FireMon. “We’re excited to announce this latest release of the FireMon platform, with extended support for technologies from our key partners at VMware, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Zscaler, and A10.”

The new release will be generally available in October 2021.
